American Eats: Utah. The Atomic Grill
Moab is an interesting town. It’s a small town getting too big for its britches as tourists pile in to visit Zion and Canyonlands National Parks.
But there, along US 191 before you get to town, you would find this beauty.
I say “was” because the Atomic Grill was one of many businesses that closed, a casualty of COVID. It’s a damn shame too, because it was a fun and quirky restaurant that served all types of exotic meats. This platter, which I ate back in 2018, was full of unusual meats such as a duck taco, a boar tamale, and elk burrito.
The entire restaurant was full of such unusual and quirky foods, all in a retro, 1950’s style setting.
It’s unfortunate that the Atomic was a victim of COVID, as it was a restaurant that stood out in a sea of more generic restaurants serving the tourist crowd.
