Baltimore County Sheriff Candidate Refuses to Concede
Republican Andy Kuhl trails by 15%, but that's not stopping him from veering into election denialism.
Andy Kuhl, this year’s Republican nominee for Baltimore County Sheriff, has become the latest failed candidate to deny the results of his election.
Kuhl posted the following to his campaign Facebook page:
Dear family and friends,
I deeply appreciate your vote and your support. The past 9 months of my campaign has been truly, a rebirthing of Patriotism, Spiritualism and, Activism. I have been inspired by you and your selfless sacrifices in good nature to say that this arduous journey has only just begun. As our forefathers pledged their lives, property and sacred honor to Liberty, so have you and I. Freedom is not free. The sanctity of our voices, by speech and vote has been under attack, muted and, infiltrated. I cannot, in good conscience, concede to the results of the 2022 (s)election. There have been too many reports of anomalies, improper procedure, abuse of authority and, more. I will pursue investigating these acts as it necessary to the nature of my campaign for Liberty and Justice.
I will continue to rise against tyranny. I will continue to apply the necessary and lawful pressure to our “representation.” I will continue to strive for accountability and transparency. And, I will continue to educate my fellow citizens of the duties, responsibilities, and constitutional authority of your County Sheriff and his/ her Oath to uphold defend the Constitution of this State and the United States. I will continue to follow my path in which God has laid out for me, in His time, to inspire others through leadership. May God bless all of you, friends and family, which I may call you now, because you have been the most integral part of our campaign. Our journey together is not over.
Andy Kuhl
Kuhl currently trails Sheriff R. Jay Fisher, who defeated Kuhl to win his sixth term, buy 15%.
Kuhl has, so far, not provided any reason as to why he believes his defeat is somehow illegitimate or what these “reports of anomalies, improver procedure, abuse of authority and, more.” are.
