Bouchat Passes on Governor's Race....This Time
Tells The Duckpin he's announcing his candidacy for 2030
Delegate Christopher Eric Bouchat will not be filing to run for Governor this year.
In a statement to The Duckpin, Bouchat writes:
Funny, you ignored that I actually have the most experience of all the potential candidates and the only one holding office.
I am not filing to run, since serving in public office has crippled my business and need to focus on salvaging the damage done.
Smartest one of the bunch, because I am announcing my candidacy for 2030.
The Republicans are going to be crushed.
Delegate Bouchat
In a second follow-up, he writes:
I guess you are also unaware that I sued, as counselor, the State to the U.S. Supreme Court in 2012 over GA redistricting and made case law in the State Supreme Court. I am the most legally experienced member of the entire GA concerning redistricting and my Republican leadership never once asked me for me counsel on the issue we just faced.
Perplexed to say the least.
Take Care,
Delegate MD 5th
Bouchat passing on the race leaves eight filed or announced Republican candidates for Governor, with State Senator Steve Hershey still exploring a candidacy.
