Why are you running for office? *
I want to continue to serve my community. Prince George’s County Maryland can use top level, highly qualified candidates for office who are not hand picked by the establishment or controlled by the establishment. Top caliber, highly qualified leaders like myself with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility are rare. I want to bring strong Communty based inclusive policing and leadership to our county with a focus on community service, accountability, and good training, partnering with all entities to make our county safer with a focus on school safety and security.
Who do you consider your political role model, and why? *
The Late Chicago Mayor Harold Washington. The late and honorable Mayor Harold Washington was a true trail blazer over coming all odds to become the first black mayor of Chicago, a town at the time devised by racism and economic poverty. The late Mayor Washington was of and for the people and his overall community and was accountable.

What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide) *
I believe in a woman’s right to choose, and we must always be cognizant of the very sad and unfortunate crime and situation of rape and medical conditions that may result in a decision to abort. I am not a supporter of assisted suicide.
What is your position on taxes and spending? *
Taxes are necessary for many legitimate business reasons. Some of the very wealthy avoid taxes and that is not good for the total population or good of all. The wealthy should pay their fare share like the non wealthy. Spending must be controlled at all levels.
What is your position on gun rights? *
I am a proponent or supporter of citizens rights to bear arms.
What is your position on the legalization of marijuana? *
I am not and have ever been a user of Marijuana. However, marijuana should be legalized for medical use and regulated. Those with prior convictions for use of marijuana should be exonerated and any negative records expunged.
What is your position on the current three-tiered system for the sale and distribution of alcohol? *
I am all about accountability. The three tier system allows for accountability, and I support it.
What is your position on land use, growth, and development? *
We must follow the law when it comes to land use, growth and development.
What is your position on crime and public safety? *
Crimes must be fully investigated and those committing crimes no matter who they are, must be held accountable. Public safety is paramount to a good quality of life. Those of us who are sworn to protect and uphold the law, must be held accountable when neglecting such oath from top to bottom. Training of public safety officers in use of force, mental health awareness, domestic violence awareness and prevention, and public contact de-escalation must be an ongoing and continuous process to force situational awareness and accountability.
