Why are you running for office? *
I have lived in Maryland all my life, growing up in Baltimore City, moving throughout Carroll and Baltimore County before settling outside of Annapolis. I have lived through the poverty, violence and addiction that is taking over our state. I’ve overcome statistics that said I would be in jail or dead. I’m proud to say I was able to take a different path than the one laid out for me, but my past has allowed me to understand and resonate with the challenges the average person is facing. I hope to be the voice for those who feel silenced by their situation. I believe in God, the constitution and the second amendment. I’m a candidate for the everyday American.
Who do you consider your political role model, and why? *
I wouldn't say I have a particular political role model. I'm drawn to individuals like myself; someone who is driven, disciplined, and prepared to work harder than everyone else around them to achieve their goals. Someone who isn’t willing to sacrifice their morals for gain, that is transparent, accountable, and honest. Strong, Self-confident, and committed to public service.
What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why? *
It wouldn't be categorized as political but The Lord Of The Flies, written by William Golding.
What will be your top priority if elected? *
Getting inflation and increasing costs under control, controlling our borders and immigration, lowering taxes, protecting gun rights, and reducing crime and violence.
What are the three biggest issues facing your district? *
Inflation & Increased Costs Crime Rates Drugs Use
What are the three biggest issues facing Maryland? *
Similarly to my district but on a larger scale; Inflation & Increased Costs and the increased number of families living in poverty Crime Rates & Violence Drugs Use & Drug Related Death
What are the three biggest issues facing our country? *
The struggle to get inflation and increasing costs under control. Working towards reducing inflation, advancing American energy independence, and cutting income taxes for working families and small businesses is my main priority. I want to see the weight of the increased financial burdens lifted from members of my district. Our country will not survive without a border or vetting the people who are entering our country. There has to be a call to change our immigration and boarder policies. Bring back the “Remain in Mexico” policy, increased funding for our border patrol and ICE agents, immediately deporting those living in the United States Illegally and repelling federal funds from sanctuary jurisdictions. While I believe that legal immigration can contribute greatly to society, there has to be a process of law and order. I’m committed to securing our border and protecting our citizens. I believe in the second amendment and the right to defend my family, my country, and our beliefs from anyone who wishes to threaten us. Maryland has some of the strictest gun controls laws and we still have one of the highest homicide rates in America. Criminals don’t consent to background checks and stricter gun laws only make unarmed citizens easier targets. I will promote more education for Marylanders on their right and the laws in place that allow them to legally carry a firearm and place more focus towards reducing crime and violence from our streets and acknowledging the mental issues that are plaguing members of our society.
What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide) *
If a woman is raped, if the pregnancy threatens the life of the mother or unborn child or a child is conceived out of incest or force or simply if there would be no quality of life for the child; women should have the right to an abortion. If an adult of sound mind chooses to participate in assisted suicide, they should be allowed to do so.
What is your position on taxes, spending, and the federal deficit? *
We need to understand how public funds are managed and spent, how decisions are made and why and the basic evidence and information so that we’re able to have informed support. We should be able to trust where funds are going, by doing so we would be able to hold our government officials accountable. How can you remain supportive or loyal to a plan that you don’t understand. I believe most of the 1%- or upper-class Americans contribute to society just as much as they take from it.
What is your position on gun rights? *
As Americans, we have the constitutional right to own, carry and use firearms. Government Regulation or Gun Control is unconstitutional, the Second Amendment gives us the right to protect ourselves, family, and property. I fully support the Second Amendment and educated gun ownership.
What is your position on the federal legalization of marijuana? *
Marijuana should be legal for medical and recreational use.
What is your position on trade? *
One of the key factors behind our nation’s great prosperity is the open trade policy that allows the American people to freely exchange goods and services with free people around the world. Free trade should be fair, and it needs to be reciprocal.
What is your position on foreign policy and military issues? *
I believe in an America First policy. Securing American interests should be a top priority. In regards to our military, I'm in favor increased military spending, strong national defense, and unilateral action.
What policies would you support to fight inflation? *
Reducing inflation, advancing American energy independence, and cutting income taxes for working families and small businesses.
What is your position on Transgender issues?
I believe there are only two genders, and I don’t think that sex and gender are separate, but I do understand that there are some people who have gender dysphoria and should have the freedom to live their lives freely from government intervention as adults.
