Why are you running for office? *
The city needs a change. We have had the same players in the city for years and nothing is changing much. While working for the city i heard so many issues and decided someone had to do something to fix the broken system for the people.
Who do you consider your political role model, and why? *
Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus . He was called upon by his city to do his civic duty. did what was needed of him, then left. this is how politicians should be get elected, make progressive changes, then leave and not become a career politician.
What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why? *
The Social Contract by Jean-Jacques Rousseau. we need to balance personal liberty with government control.
What will be your top priority in office? *
restructuring the city to make it run efficiently. that way all the services the city offers can be easily accessed by the people
What is the biggest issue facing your area? *

Inequality between our jurisdictions. pollution issues, and increasing political division.
What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide) *
I am for a woman's right to choose, and assisted suicide should be an option for people.
What is your position on taxes and spending? *
Taxes are necessary evil in order to allow a government to help its people. Spending needs to more transparent. the government needs to be held accountable for spending waste.
What is your position on gun rights? *
I am for extensive gun control. 2A says well regulated, and right now there is a lack of regulation. also gun rights should not supersede the right of an individual to live a long safe life. too many are dying and even one death by guns is too much.
What is your position on marijuana? *
Smoke it if you got it. Drugs should be treated as a health issue not a criminal issue.
What is your position on transgender issues?
every person should be allowed to live the life they want so long as it does not actively hurt another person.
What is your position on land use, growth, and development? *
We need to balance development with environmental health and build our cities to work with nature. Green sustainable cities are the future.
What is your position on crime and public safety? *
Crime needs to be addressed with a mult-vector approach. we need to be malleable on crime and be hard, and soft when needed. We must attack the root causes and allow police to focus on crimes, and not have them involved in non criminal situations.
What is your position on county tax caps? *
not sure will have to look further into this
What is your position on education? *
Education is important. We need however to offer incentives so kids want to go to school. We must embrace good pedagogy, and need to stop turning our schools into prisions.
What is your position on parental involvement in schools?
Parents should be involved in their Childs education, but they need to remember they are not the Pedagogy experts and should trust the teachers to teach their children.
