Delegate Kris Fair is "Deeply Hurt"...by Biology and Science

Fair made scientifically illiterate remarks during voting session on Thursday

Democratic Maryland Delegate Kris Fair said that supporters of a bill that would keep biological males out of girls sports in Maryland schools "failed to understand the basic science of biology and gender.”

Fair also said that he was “Deeply Hurt by the language that was used” referring to biological males as….male.

The Democrats on the Ways and Means Committee voted to find HB 47 unfavorable. The legislation would designate that “AN INTERSCHOLASTIC OR INTRAMURAL JUNIOR VARSITY OR VARSITY ATHLETIC TEAM OR SPORT DESIGNATED FOR GIRLS, FEMALES, OR WOMEN MAY NOT INCLUDE STUDENTS OF THE MALE SEX” and provided potential damages for biological females negatively impacted by the inclusion of biological males on girls teams.

The common-senese legislation was, naturally, torpedoed by science-denying Democrats who are more interested in virtue signaling than protecting opportunities for Maryland’s high school female athletes.

This is not the first time Kris Fair showed his lack of understanding of science and biology.

Last year, Fair claimed that a five-year-old “knows” if they are transgendered AND that the information can be kept from parents.

Of importance:

Reading about transgender people online, Powell believed that the reason she didn’t feel comfortable in her body was that she was in the wrong body. Transitioning seemed like the obvious solution. The narrative she had heard and absorbed was that if you don’t transition, you’ll kill yourself.

At 17, desperate to begin hormone therapy, Powell broke the news to her parents. They sent her to a gender specialist to make sure she was serious. In the fall of her senior year of high school, she started cross-sex hormones. She had a double mastectomy the summer before college, then went off as a transgender man named Grayson to Sarah Lawrence College, where she was paired with a male roommate on a men’s floor. At 5-foot-3, she felt she came across as a very effeminate gay man.

At no point during her medical or surgical transition, Powell says, did anyone ask her about the reasons behind her gender dysphoria or her depression. At no point was she asked about her sexual orientation. And at no point was she asked about any previous trauma, and so neither the therapists nor the doctors ever learned that she’d been sexually abused as a child.

I would recommend Kris Fair take a biology class. He may also need sensitivity training for the way he demeaned the concerns of girls and families. He should probably also read the literature about victims of the transgender fad like Powell and the other available horror stories that have been published.

While he may be a privileged white male, not everybody enjoys the extraordinary privilege of being Kris Fair.

As I wrote last year:

We live in stupid times. Unfortunately, Democrats want to make those times more dangerous and want to actively engage in child abuse against our kids as young as five by allowing them to make life-altering decisions about their sexuality but also not make them accountable for felonies until a full twenty years after they “decide” they are “misgendered”.

None of that is changed, other than the fact that the Democrats seem hellbent on making people who can’t seem to understand their biology a privileged class at the expense of everybody else…
