Did a Congressional Candidate Wish Death on David Trone?
Controversial deleted post from Chris Hyser surfaces
WARNING: This post quotes from rather salty musical lyrics
A deleted Instagram post from a Congressional candidate has surfaced that seems to have wished death upon Congressman David Trone.
Chris Hyser, one of many inconsequential fringe candidates running as a Republican for Congress in the 6th District, posted this image on Instagram shortly after Trone announced he would run for the U.S. Senate. The Duckpin recently obtained the deleted screencaps.
A similar image was reused by Hyser on a similar post on Facebook around the same time, with a much less aggressive stance.
The main issue of concern is the song that Hyser used to accompany the Instagram image. Dope is an industrial metal band that recorded the song Hyser selected, “Die MF Die.” Here are the opening lyrics to that song:
I don't need your forgiveness
I don't need your hate
I don't need your acceptance
So what should I do?
I don't need your resistance
I don't need your prayers
I don't need no religion
I don't need a thing from youI don't do what I've been told
You're so lame why don't youJust go
Die motherfucker die motherfucker die
Die motherfucker die motherfucker die
Die motherfucker die motherfucker die
Die motherfucker die motherfucker die
Other songs by Dope include "Pig Society", “Everything Sucks”, “America the Pitiful", "Fuck the World", "Die, Boom, Bang, Burn, Fuck", a cover of NWA’s “Fuck Tha Police.”
Hyser’s selection of the song “Die MF Die” and its lyrics is an interesting juxtaposition when Hyser has talked repeatedly during his barebones campaign of upholding the dignity of all life and his theology degree.
Did Hyser mean anything by his now-deleted comments against Trone? Almost certainly not, which is why they were deleted. But it shows a serious lack of judgment by a totally unserious candidate who is just one of many has-beens or never-will-bes currently running for Congress in District 6.
