Flowers Mocks Collapse of the Key Bridge in Insane AI Video
GOP Congressional candidate's video suggest Wes Moore celebrated destruction of the Bridge
Republican 3rd District Congressional nominee Berney Flowers posted a video last week that mocked the collapse of the Key Bridge and suggested that Wes Moore celebrated.
The video itself was posted on Flowers’ Facebook page.
The video, bluntly, shows the dangers of AI in politics when underfunded, politically sheltered, and incompetent candidates
Here, Wes Moore and others are on a boat watching the Key Bridge explode in broad daylight.
It is unclear what this has to do with a Congressional race or why Flowers would make such a stupid and childish observation over a tragedy that took the lives of six construction workers and has impacted the lives of millions of everyday Marylanders.
Then shit gets weird.
It is unclear what this image has to do with the Key Bridge. Or what AIPAC has to do with it. Or Communism. But Flowers got the Freeper1 talking points in.
But it gets worse.
While many people of a certain age understand the allusion to Captain Chesapeake, it is unclear what this has to do with the topic at hand in the video. Or, bluntly, what it has to do with the race for Congress in the 3rd Congressional District.
But it’s OK because Berney Flowers is going to save the day riding a bald eagle and using magic to fix the Key Bridge.
No. Really.
The entire video is the kind of fever dream that is brought on by the consumption of mind-altering substances and not the kind put forth by a serious campaign for Congress.
I’m sure that in whatever Facebook echo chamber Berney Flowers lives in, this played very well. It’s the kind of video that the rubes who care only about their next political dopamine hit would be really, really into. What’s clear, however, is that this is not the kind of video that is going to entice new voters to even consider Berney Flowers, much less to vote for him. It is the kind of video that easily explains why Flowers is in the midst of his third losing campaign for Congress.
Berney Flowers is running for Congress against Sarah Elfreth. He seems to have mostly forgotten that in this video, where he is more interested in attacking Wes Moore and calling in air strikes while riding his eagle.2 While the issue of the reconstruction of the Key Bridge and Wes Moore’s failure to get it moving is a major issue in Maryland, Flowers decides to make a mockery of the entire thing. Instead of talking about an important issue logically, Flowers mocks the deaths of the six Key Bridge workers and insults the intelligence of the rest of us. It tells us that Flowers lacks the requite character and judgment to be a member of Congress.3
Berney Flowers is the exact kind of candidate Republicans should expect to be stuck with in an election cycle when former Executive Director Adam Wood was more focused on paving the way to get his doors blown off in a State Senate primary, rather than doing his actual job recruiting candidates.
In any logical universe, Berney Flowers would take this video down and apologize to all concerned. But in an era where Republican candidates are more concerned with keeping the rubes on Facebook happy than winning actual elections, I expect more of the same dumbassery from Flowers in the months to come.

He would fit right in with the current GOP Congress, though. Which says something, none of it good.
