Hyser Attacks Royals, Accuses Combat Vet of "Never Having to Work a Day in his life"
Hyser claims Royals, a decorated combat aviator, "always had everything given to him."
Republican 6th District Congressional candidate Chris Hyser launched a bizarre attack at Republican Rival Tom Royals yesterday, accusing the veteran Navy Combat aviator, of “never having to work a day in his life.”
Hyser launched the attack in his favorite method, a video posted to social media:
“He was born and raised and Chevy Chase, Maryland. That’s right, born with that Silver Spoon jammed you know where. Never had to work a day in his life. Doesn’t know what it’s like to have calluses on his hands. He’s always had everything given to him.
You can look at his resume and see the twelve jobs he’s had as a salesman, used car salesman the last eight, ten years. It’s ridiculous all the jobs that he’s had.
Do you want somebody, some rich kid representing you from District 8? Or do you want a retired Maryland State Trooper, blue-collar worker, myself Chris Hyser.”
While I can’t speak to Royals upbringing, we can discuss his military and private sector career.
Royals campaign bio lays out Royals experiences as a Naval Officer and a combat aviator:
Upon graduation from Annapolis, Tom was commissioned as an Officer in the Navy. He attended flight school in Pensacola, Florida and earned his wings as a Naval Flight Officer. Deployed overseas, Tom flew F-18 Super Hornets as a Weapons Systems Officer off the deck of aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf on combat missions over Afghanistan and Iraq. He flew close air support to support and defend our troops on the ground and destroyed enemy explosives intended to kill Americans. For successful combat sorties in-country, Tom was awarded a Strike Flight Air Medal.
After his service in the Navy, Tom earned an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and built a successful career as an IT sales executive.
A review of Royals LinkedIn Profile backs up his claims, documenting Royals Navy career and his private sector, none of which involves being a “Used Car Salesman” as Hyser described him.
Royals of course is also a combat aviator with tours in Afghanistan and Iraq flying F/A-18F Super Hornets. You just don’t have an F/A-18 or even your Navy wings “given” to you as Hyser insinuates.
That such an attack comes from Hyser, who has been talking about his “ten tours in Iraq and Afghanistan” while glossing over the fact that he never served a day in the military and did those tours as a hired gun, is pathetic.
Hyser is no doubt trying to deflect attention from his recent missteps involving his Muslim faith, his attempt to cover up his Muslim faith from the voters or his wishing for David Trone’s death.
While it is understandable that Hyser’s weak and feckless campaign is taking shots at anybody and everybody who poses a threat to his doomed candidacy (including The Duckpin), this just goes to show you what kind of person Chris Hyser is. When you are willing to attack somebody’s combat military service or to make up lies that can be easily disproven, it just goes to show you that Hyser is merely another guy who wants to go to Washington to become a swamp creature.
Chris Hyser lacks the character to be elected and is unfit to serve in any office.
