Judicial Candidate Can't Spell "Anne Arundel"
The ability to spell is one of many skills a Circuit Court Judge needs. Rowena Nelson fails embarrassingly.
Anne Arundel Circuit Court Candidate Rowena Nelson has committed one of the most embarrassing political gaffes I have ever seen.
Nelson’s campaign has deployed 4x8 signs promoting her candidacy across Anne Arundel County. The only problem? The signs misspell “Anne Arundel.”
This is not an isolated incident. All of Nelson’s 4x8 signs have been posted with this embarrassing and pathetic mistake.
Nelson’s website claims that “Through years of courtroom advocacy, community engagement, and public service, Rowena has built a reputation grounded in preparation, fairness, and ethical leadership.” This kind of error makes it seem like the “preparation” aspect of that experience is little more than a pipe dream.
Cases that go before a Circuit Court judge can be large and complex. These cases require attention to detail from the presiding judge. The inability to get basic campaign functions like spelling the name of the county she lives in and seeks to serve correctly on campaign signs is the kind of disqualifying error that tells the people of Anne Arundel County “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt” that Rowena Nelson is not qualified to be elected to the Circuit Court.
