The Airing of the Grievances
I got a lotta problems with some people, and now you're going to hear about it
Well…..it’s Festivus.
Bari Weiss: Imagine getting to the pinnacle of the news industry, only to become an apparatchik.
You’ve probably heard the story about Trump-sanctioned torture, physical abuse, and sexual abuse of American deportees in the infamous El Salvadoran prison CECOT. And you have probably heard that Bari Weiss spiked it on behalf of the administration. I say this because it aired in Canada, and you can watch it here.
Wes Moore: In the three years since taking office, Wes Moore has been the complete disaster all of us who were paying attention knew he was going to be. He continues to be a political animal incapable of governing, incapable of putting Marylanders first, and incapable of doing anything without checking which way the wind is blowing on his Presidential ambitions. Which also earns a spot on the list for…
The 153,423 Maryland Republicans who Voted for Dan Cox: This remains all your fault.
The Idea of Heritage Americans: Have you seen this stupid graphic?
MAGA world is now suggesting that “Heritage Americans” are the only people to whom America actually belongs. I’m sure that this will be a shocker to the Native Americans whose ancestry dates back 25,000 years to the Bering Land Bridge.
The entire idea of “Heritage American” is reserved for white people, predominantly populist and who have been in this country for at least 100 years.
It’s also an incredibly racist, incredibly stupid, and incredibly un-American way to go about thinking. The entire premise of America is that anybody can come here and become part of our way of life.
“You can go to live in France, but you cannot become a Frenchman. You can go to live in Germany or Turkey or Japan, but you cannot become a German, a Turk, or a Japanese. But anyone, from any corner of the Earth, can come to live in America and become an American.”
Ronald Reagan
The entire concept of “Heritage American” flies in the face of everything that it means to be an American.
People Who Use TDS in place of Policy Argument: The number of times where somebody who disagrees with me on policy defaults to “well you just have Trump Derangement Syndrome!” is high. They can’t debate the merits of the policy, can’t defend the policy. But something must be wrong with me because I disagree with it. It’s bizarre, cult-like behavior.
MLB Commissioner Ron Manfred: You cannot CANNOT convince me this man likes baseball. His latest “inventions” include regulating in-game technology available to teams. He’s discussed creating zones for outfielders at which they cannot play deeper. He’s discussed radical realignment that would create geographically based leagues akin to the NBA and NHL rather than the American and National Leagues, a preposterous choice when the NL celebrates its 150th anniversary next year.
Nothing will be better for baseball than when the game gets a new commissioner when Manfred retires in January 2029.
Algerian Font: Every time I see the Algerian Font, I cringe. While it was originally designed in 1907 to evoke a Victorian, "exotic," or high-class feel, it has become a shorthand for amateur design. It’s illegible. It’s hard to read. It’s in all caps. It’s a cliche for anything remotely related to history, travel, or something “exotic”. Except, people just use for any old reason. Plumbers. Christmas. Yard Sales. It is TERRIBLE. STOP USING IT.
Stephen Miller: Miller spent 2025 doubling down on a vision that seems more interested in building “soft-sided” tent camps than building community. YouHe’s turned“national security” into a justification for aggressive mass deportation raids and attempting to dismantle legal pathways like Temporary Protected Status (TPS), throwing families and the economy into chaos. Between his implementation of the Project 2025 playbook and his tireless efforts to purge anyone who values empathy over ideology, Miller has proven time and again that his “inclusive patriotism” has room for almost no one.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr: While we’d all love a healthier nation, RFK did what we thought he was going to: trade scientific rigor for conspiracy theories and skepticism that undermines decades of public health progress. America now has people looking at their tap water and their childhood vaccines with a level of fear that borders on the absurd, all while RFK champions a "wellness" agenda that feels more like a chaotic science experiment than actual policy. From "brain worm" headlines tomaking even the most basic health facts a subject of debate, Kennedy has turned the Department of Health and Human Services into a center for confusion.
Pot Smokers: Nobody wants to smell your drug use. It’s bad enough when you go out in public after you smoke, and the stank is all over your clothes and your person. Nobody wants to get a smell of that crap driving down the street with their kids, which is something that happens on a fairly regular basis these days. If you’re stupid enough to smoke weed, leave the rest of us out of it.
