The Monday Thought
Last week I asked for your questions to answer in this week’s show. And you guys delivered. So here are some answers to a few of your questions.
Whatever happened to you writing for The Baltimore Banner?
Stay tuned to next week’s column. I’ll write all about it.You only ever criticize Republicans! Talk about the DemonRATS
I get this question often, usually from people who are unfamiliar with my nearly twenty years of writing. The same kind of writing that got multiple Democratic Mayors of Baltimore to whine about me. The same kind of writing that got Thomas V. Mike Miller to call Red Maryland Satan. Basically, people who complain that I don’t criticize Democrats just aren’t paying attention.
Also, I only ever criticize anybody who deserves criticism.Where’s this TV network?
Assuming that you mean the TV Network I wrote about at the beginning of the year? Well, The Duckpin Network had a soft launch a few weeks ago. You can watch it live anytime here.I’m not going to pay for this
I think you have a misconception. Once we start accepting payments for members, not everything will require a paid subscription. Most things won’t. But there will be members over content that you'll have to pay to read or listen to.Is Dan Cox over?
I’m assuming you mean is Dan Cox’s political career finished and not over in the professional wrestling sense.
I think Dan Cox’s electoral viability is finished. I don’t think he realizes it yet. And his need to rehabilitate himself by becoming Doug Mastriano’s coffee boy, Julie Giordano’s legal jockey, and a bad podcast host tell me he wants to suck at the government teat (two government jobs now) in order to prolong whatever political profile he has left. Why do you play wiffleball?
Remember this? Well, I kept playing. It’s fun. You should play. Join us at oldlinewiffle.com and sign up for the 2023 season. You’re treating Nicole Harris unfairly, she is doing the best job she can!
I treat all people the way they deserve to be treated. I applaud when they do good work and I criticize when they do bad work. But objectively Nicole Harris has created one disaster after another and she’s only been in office for six weeks. Not since Jim Pelura became party chair in 2007 have so many mistakes been made in such a short period of time.
For a long time, Maryland Republicans had competent leadership, with Chairs like Diana Waterman and Dirk Haire and Executive Directors like Joe Cluster, Patrick O’Keefe, and Corine Frank. That has been swept aside for this hot mess.
What should scare you is that Harris was the least bad choice among three very bad choices. Are you ever coming back to the GOP?
Maybe one day. If the GOP gets an enema and eliminates its waste products. What’s next?
The rest of a day off.
