The Monday Thought
Controversy erupted over the weekend about an event in Baltimore denying Planned Parenthood a booth at their event:
Ignoring the obvious fact that there was a “stigma to their services”, the entire Baltimore internet exploded with outrage. Sponsors withdrew. People started to boycott.
The whole reason why HONFest disinvited Planned Parenthood was due to a desire to enforce existing festival rules against "political, religious, and hot topic issues.” Planned Parenthood checks all three boxes, being a Democratic organization that worships abortion and is a controversial societal organization performing heinous acts.
Everything that they said of course was 100% accurate. Yet, they still were practically forced to recant with their tail between their legs and beg forgiveness from the Death Cult.
Of course, that isn’t good enough for the white Baltimoreans who worship the Death Cult.
Of course, maybe this should not be a surprise in a city where this recently happened:
Baltimore police are searching for a man who is accused of attacking and beating two elderly pro-life activists who were praying outside of a Baltimore Planned Parenthood abortion clinic on May 26.
According to witnesses cited in the police report, the unidentified suspect attacked a 73-year-old man and an 80-year-old man after engaging in a "debate" with one of the pro-life activists about abortion.
The report, citing video surveillance of the alleged assault, states that the suspect was talking to the 80-year-old man, turned away from him and then turned back and tackled him over a large flower pot.
The report states that a second elderly pro-life activist ran over to help the victim. At that point the suspect shoved the second man onto the ground and struck his face with a closed fist while the man’s back was to the ground. The report adds that the suspect stood up and kicked the second man in the face “with extreme force” and then walked away from the scene.
Although the report provided to CNA by the Baltimore County Police Department redacted the names of the victims, Baltimore County Right to Life President Jay Walton identified the second man as 73-year-old Mark Crosby.
The HONFest statement that “We understand that Planned Parenthood offers a full spectrum of invaluable information and resources to our community” sounds like it was written by Planned Parenthood, a group that per their own report killed 374,155 unborn children last year. That’s roughly the same number of people killed by Planned Parenthood that live in the City of New Orleans.
Abortion isn’t health care. But Maryland Democrats ran to social media declaring that killing babies is too health care.
The people supporting Planned Parenthood and their quest to kill as many people as possible overlook a big thing here. And I’m not even talking about how gauche it is for a bunch of white Baltimoreans to stand and scream about how an event in Baltimore City is banning an organization like Planned Parenthood that was founded in the name of eugenics and racism.
It was something that friend and local attorney Bruce Godfrey pointed out:
HONFest is not a city festival. It is not a non-profit entity. It is not a school. It is not required to let everybody in. It is not required to have beliefs that you agree with. Businesses are not required to sponsor it. You are not required to attend it. And the fact that HONfest is now letting one left-wing political group participate with a booth at the festival now gives Planned Parenthood special treatment that other groups are not being given.
I’m guessing that a crisis-pregnancy center or a pro-life organization would not be given the same special treatment that HONFest is giving Planned Parenthood.
The point of all of this (other than to highlight how a lot of white liberal Baltimoreans really need to get a grip on their racism) is to remind people that private groups are not required to believe what you believe and that they are entitled to affiliate with who they wish to affiliate with. And considering that we are neck deep in Pride Month and all of the nonsense that goes along with that, it is a message many people need to heed.
