The Runback: Worst Boss(ie) in the World
The way David Bossie prostrates himself before the altar of Trump and believes Trump über alles shows the depths the man will stoop to and the cult-like nature of Trumpworld.

The Monday Thought
For a brief period last week, it looked like the Republican National Committee planned to bypass the remainder of the primary process and just coronate indicted former President Donald Trump as their official nominee:
The Republican National Committee (RNC) is reviewing a draft resolution that, if approved, would declare Donald Trump the party’s presumptive 2024 presidential nominee even as Nikki Haley continues to wage a vigorous campaign against the former president and frontrunner.
It wasn’t enough that RNC head stooge Ronna Romney McDaniel demanded that GOP rally around Trump despite Nikki Haley still being in the race. They wanted to have a vote on it too.
The worst part about the proposed RNC resolution? I knew who proposed the resolution before I even read the story:
The draft resolution, obtained by The Dispatch Thursday morning, was proposed by David Bossie, an RNC committeeman from Maryland and close Trump ally. His effort to put the national party on a general election footing behind Trump follows RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel saying after the former president defeated Haley in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary that it was time for Republicans to unite behind the frontrunner and focus on defeating President Joe Biden.
“RESOLVED that the Republican National Committee hereby declares President Trump as our presumptive 2024 nominee for the office of President of the United States and from this moment forward moves into full general election mode welcoming supporters of all candidates as valued members of Team Trump 2024,” reads a key portion of the draft resolution.
Of course it was David Bossie. It was always going to be David Bossie. The same David Bossie that praised Maryland’s segregationists. The same David Bossie that wanted to focus on sending resolutions to Congress as the RNC prepared (or didn’t, as the case may be) for a disastrous midterm election cycle
Nearly four years ago I wrote this about Bossie:
Bossie is already too preoccupied with his duties being President Trump’s gopher to satisfactorily serve as the Maryland Republican Party National Committeeman.
And now he’s still doing little more than being a flunky for Donald Trump despite Trump having kicked him to the curb once before over an alleged scam Bossie was running. What’s Bossie doing to help the Maryland GOP’s disastrous financial situation? Not a damn thing, he’s too busy trying to satiate the ego of a soon-to-be 78-year-old attention whore with symptoms of dementia who is simultaneously facing 91 criminal indictments in four states.
I mean, Bossie’s move was so transparently pathetic that even Trump distanced himself from it:
It is a sad and pathetic man who will debase himself in the way Bossie does to stay in another’s good favor. The way David Bossie prostrates himself before the altar of Trump and believes Trump über alles shows the depths the man will stoop to and the cult-like nature of Trumpworld. And though Bossie, a college dropout, likely feels the way he does because he is professionally backed into a corner, a man of integrity and honor would not contort himself into the positions that he does for Trump.
Though I am no longer a member of the dumpster fire that is the Maryland GOP, the people who are the true workers of the GOP cause deserve better than Bossie and the rest of the clowns who run today’s Maryland Republican Party.
