The Tallest Midget in the Room

When I’m sad, I think about how sad it would be to be Andy Harris.

Here’s a guy who had everything, he was a State Senator, a successful physician, a Naval Reservist who honorably served his nation, and now look at him.

A Senior Citizen whose main role is to say “How High?” whenever an older senior citizen tells him to jump.

Harris is the most recently elected Chairman of the Freedom Caucus, replacing Bob Good who got turfed in his primary.¹ He joins a line of “distinguished” former Freedom Caucus chairs including a controversial wrestling coach, a guy who wanted a pardon for his involvement in trying to overturn the 2020 election, and the most ineffective member of Congress. Not a distinguished list.

The Freedom Caucus of course is allegedly the group of the most conservative members of the House of Representatives, but realistically they are for whatever statist, left-wing policies the Trump Administration is borrowing from Democrats at any given time. Andy Harris is basically Trump’s peon in the House.

But what I really want to talk about is Nicole Harris’s re-election as Maryland Republican Party Chairman today.
