Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has said a lot of crazy things over the years. He even said that Donald Trump is a “threat to democracy,” a “bully,”and a “terrible president, and labeled Trump’s base base as “belligerent idiots”, “outright Nazis” and “spineless fellow travelers.” Kennedy also accused Trump of exploiting societal insecurities and xenophobia to amass power like Benito Mussolini or Adolf Hitler.
But the most dangerous thing Kennedy has ever done is mainstream vaccine denialism and the theory that vaccines cause autism. What was once a crackpot debunked pseudoscientific theory is now government policy with Kennedy leading the way.
And it’s dangerous as hell.
