Varying Degrees of Insane
Can America even be shocked by the degeneracy of the Trump Administration anymore?
Every time I turn around, the Trump administration find new and creative ways to circumvent the Constitution and expand the size and scope of Government.
Just this week
ICE’s Acting Director demanded a Catholic Church in Boston take down its Nativity Scene because the Infant Jesus was replaced with “ICE WAS HERE.”
Heritage Action, the political arm of the The Heritage Foundation, attempted to extort Indiana Senate Republicans on behalf of the Administration.
An Orwellian Foreign Entry policy was rolled out, requiring foreign visitors on visit to submit to Homeland Security their social media history for the past five years, emails they have used for the past 10 years and the personal information of immediate family members, including phone numbers and residences.
Using the U.S. Navy to engage in piracy by seizing oil tankers on the high seas.
Taking steps toward demolishing four federal buildings without the appropriate oversight.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem played herself by lying to Congress and immediately getting called on it.
Any one of these offenses individually would be rightly brought to previous congresses for censure and possible impeachment. And that says nothing about the Trump Administration dropping the prosecution of a FIFA Executive in an apparent quid pro quo for the first (and probably only) FIFA Peace Prize. Nor does it account for Trump’s attempt to extort the International Criminal Court to give he and his minions immunity from prosecution for war crimes and other crimes against humanity. And it certainly doesn’t account for all of the other civil liberties violations the Trump Administration has been stacking up since January 20th.
All of this together is varying degrees of insanity that should be an automatic disqualification from public office for the offenders.
But instead, we are just treated to another round of yawns by so-called conservatives and liberty activists as Trump repeatedly strangles freedoms and pisses on the Constitution. The people who claimed to be ready to stand up to tyranny continue to cheer it on.
Where will this madness end? And can America even be shocked by the degeneracy of the Trump Administration anymore?
