Your Church is Not Supposed to be a Partisan Organization

Is your church prioritizing partisanship? If so….….run.

One of the recent things that we have seen online recently is the idea that “if your church didn’t mention Charlie Kirk, you need to find a new church.”

This idea that your Church needs replacing due to strictly partisan reasons is one of the bizarre, sad consequences of the evangelical capture of the Republican Party. It is one of the reasons that Donald Trump ordered the IRS to allow churches to endorse candidates without risking their non-profit exemptions.

This may surprise some of your more hardcore partisans out their, but your church's job is not to elect Republicans. And your church's job is not to elect Democrats. is to preach the gospel with your entire heart, your entire mind, and your entire soul.

And if your church is prioritizing partisanship….….run.
