Cox Endorser Subpoenaed by January 6th Committee
One of Delegate Dan Cox’s endorsers was subpoenaed by the Congressional January 6th Committee today.
The House January 6 committee issued another round of subpoenas Tuesday as congressional investigators dig more deeply into illegitimate electors from key swing states that former President Donald Trump lost, who were put forward to try to justify delaying the certification of Joe Biden's victory.
The committee issued subpoenas to six individuals, including two members of the Trump campaign and four prominent GOP officials from battleground states, as part of its investigation into the US Capitol attack on January 6, 2021….….The subpoena list also includes Republican state lawmakers from Pennsylvania and Arizona -- Douglas Mastriano and Mark Finchem, respectively -- as well as Kelli Ward, chairwoman of the Arizona Republican Party, and Laura Cox, former chairwoman of the Michigan GOP.
Cox has long been an admirer of Mastriano. Mastriano appeared in a video with Cox last summer in Gettysburg to give Cox his endorsement.
Cox also appeared at an August rally with Mastriano and other characters from the election conspiracy world.
As I said last summer, Mastriano’s audit has been quoted as causing “unnecessary chaos” with Pennsylvania’s election processes. He also repeatedly tweeted in support of QAnon.
Despite this, Cox returned the favor when he endorsed Mastriano when he decided to run for Governor of Pennsylvania.
No doubt Democrats will be quick to publicize Mastriano’s endorsement of Cox in another effort to manipulate the Republican primary.
